Electrostatic Sprayers; Applicator of Choice?

Electrostatic Sprayers have become a trendy tool in light of COVID-19, due to its ability to evenly apply cleaners and disinfectants with minimal contact from cleaning professionals, but does it meet the best practices to mitigate the coronavirus?

Click the EPA link to learn more, and find out which cleaning tools work best for your situation.

Is hypochlorous acid a ‘Green Solution’ for COVID-19?

Hypochlorus acid, a form of hydrogenated hypochlorite and can be readily produced in facility with an electrolysis machine and common cleaning reagents. The resulting product is extremely effective in disinfecting surfaces. The cleaning solution is highly stable (effective for 14 days when kept in a cool, dark place), and needs only 1 minute of contact-time when mixed to 200 parts-per-million.

Across a variety of medical applications for virucidal study, hypochlorous acid appears highly effective (including when used with electrostatic foggers), with minimal human health impacts, as long as the chemical can be applied safely in an unoccupied room with good ventilation.

Anti-Microbial Surface Coatings || Do they work as advertised?

Anti-Microbial surface coatings have been a critical growing section of the treated materials industry for facilities with concerns regarding acquired-infections from their occupied spaces. Hospitals, schools, senior care facilities, and other high-occupancy areas with vulnerable population have begun to adopted treated surface coatings as part of new construction to bolster clean-ability and decrease associated costs with cleaning and maintenance.

Buyer Beware; the US EPA has issued a brief warning, informing people that no testing on Anti-Microbial coatings has been done regarding the efficacy in mitigating COVID-19.
